MobiDik – Development of a Mobile and Digital Learning Factory for Energy-Optimised and Resource-Efficient Buildings

Development of a Mobile and Digitally Networked Learning Factory in the Skilled Crafts 4.0 (MobiDik)

The aim of the joint project Development of a Mobile and Digitally Networked Learning Factory in the Skilled Crafts 4.0. (MobiDik) is the realisation of energy-optimised, climate-neutral buildings along the entire life cycle of a building, as well as the actually interconnected value chain from planning to manufacturing, production, construction and operation, maintenance and modernisation to recycling. The mobile learning factory provides planners, craftsmen and other suppliers and service providers with the latest, digital equipment and tools for their respective activities for testing and training, while appropriately trained instructors and coaches actively accompany the learning, design and acceptance process.

Together with the research partners IGA-Ingenieurgesellschaft für Automatisierung und Rationalisierung mbH, mpool Consulting GmbH, NUCE Consulting GmbH and RIF Institut für Forschung und Transfer e.V., ifeu supports the BLB (Building and Real Estate Management Department of the State of Northrhine-Westphalia and the Local Council of Skilled Crafts Dortmund und Lünen in specific projects. Together with the BLB, the new research building THINK at the Ruhr University in Bochum is being supported.

The contribution of ifeu is the cross-phase, holistic building assessment (energy efficiency, emissions of greenhouse gases, resource consumption) with a BIM-based assessment via the IFC interface. This allows optimisation potential for the building to be identified at an early stage, adjustments can be made during construction, and quality assurance is possible with the so-called digital twin after its completion.

The MobiDik joint project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) as part of the 7th Energy Research Programme (duration May 2020 to April 2023).
