Germany’s global environmental impact of production, consumption and imports, Part II: Case studies and in-depth analyses

Germany, Europe’s leading export economy, is a key player in global raw material and commodity flows. The related impact on the environment outside of Germany has so far received little attention and has not yet been sufficiently quantified. Aim of the project is an in-depth analysis of the global environmental impact of Germany considering both consumption and production. The existing database is to be evaluated and expanded. The project also aims at further developing environmental economic reporting and at creating public awareness for global environmental impacts.
