Packaging

Packaging is frequently discussed in an environmental context. The primary purpose of packaging is the protection and transportability of products. However, packaging is considered superfluous after product consumption, i.e. an item that consumers wish to discard as soon as possible. Thus, packaging is a necessary evil of our modern consumer world, yet used packaging may be a valuable raw material if this resource is utilised appropriately. ifeu carries out research and provides consulting services on all environmental matters in the packaging field. ifeu is the contact for the packaging industry for the selection and design of the right, i.e. environmentally friendly, packaging. Due to the fact that every corporation and every product is unique, we offer individually customised and targeted consulting services using LCA methodology.
