Climate change and raw materials - Research project KlimRess published
The effects of climate change can manifest themselves in many different ways and influence economic activities and supply chains worldwide, such as the extraction and processing of raw materials. The research project "Impacts of climate change on the ecological criticality of the German raw material demand" (KlimRess) examined possible impacts of climate change on primary raw material extraction and supply chains.
Together with adelphi research (project lead) and the University of Queens, ifeu was dedicated on behalf of the Federal Environment Agency to the topic from 2016 to 2019. The results of the research project carried out on behalf of the Federal Environment Agency have now been published.
