ifeu researchers present findings on low-energy, comfortable and sustainable buildings at the University of Rwanda

The Rapid Planning Project is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. One part of the project deals with the sustainable development of the building sector. With additional funding provided by Engagement Global, a team of researchers from Rwanda and Germany collaborated on Indoor Comfort in the Rwandan climate and on Building Materials in Rwanda and their Impact on the Environment. The results were presented at the University of Rwanda, School of Architecture and Built Environment, in the weekly public arcTalk.

On November 22nd Joshua Ishimwe and Jakob Schweiger presented their simulations on Indoor Comfort in the Rwandan climate (pdf, 4 MB). Remy Ruberambuga, Leonard Byiringiro and Michel Schmitt presented their research about sustainable building materials (pdf, 3 MB) in Rwanda on December 13th.
