SEEMLA: New publications and announcement of 2nd International Symposium

The three-year EU-funded project SEEMLA which is focussing on the reliable and sustainable exploitation of biomass from marginal lands is now entering its final phase. Recently, two articles on the definition and classification of marginal lands and on the SEEMLA GIS tool, respectively, were published in the “BE sustainable” magazine. Another contribution was published in the “Biobased Future” newsletter.

The 2nd International SEEMLA Symposium will be held on 15 May 2018, on the occasion of the 26th European Biomass Conference & Exhibition (EUBCE) in Copenhagen, Denmark. Participation requires a regular EUBCE registration. In his oral presentation, ifeu expert Nils Rettenmaier will present interim results of the environmental and socio-economic assessment, for which ifeu is responsible within the project.
