Three research projects of ifeu and partners represented on the international conference "Raw Materials & Environment 2019"
The German Environment Agency (UBA) hosted an international conference on environmental issues of mineral and metal supply and mining in Berlin from 19 to 20 February 2019. More than 200 participants from science, business, up- and downstream industry, civil society and politics attended the conference and discussed a broad range of topics such as mining, raw material supply, environmental assessment, climate change, sustainable supply chain management and sustainable resource management.
The conference provided a platform for the results of various research projects. For many years now, ifeu has worked closely together with UBA and other institutes to explore issues of sustainable mining and environmental assessment of raw materials. The project team (ifeu, Öko-Institut, projekt-consult and adelphi) had the opportunity to present and discuss the two follow-up projects of ÖkoRess and KlimRess with a broad group of experts.
