Evaluation and perspectives of the market incentive scheme
The market incentive scheme has become established as a central funding tool for the area of the heat supply from renewable energy sources. It is crucial to the target defined in Article 1 of the draft Renewable Energies Heat Act (EEWärmeG) that renewable energy accounts for a 14% share of the heat market by 2020. ifeu has supported the market stimulus programme since 2008, and is developing strategic perspectives for further development. Activities:
- Market observation of the heat market
- Analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the MAP
- Analysis of the embedding of the MAP in building policy, taking account of links with efficiency targets
- Preparation and strengthening of new applications of the MAP, for example as regards apartment buildings, trade and industry
- Recommendations for the ongoing development of funding components
- Drawing up specific and workable funding components
