LCA packaging of sterilised food

The “Comparative life cycle assessment of sterilised food packaging systems on the European market” analyses the environmental performance of the heat resistant food carton combisafe and the aseptic food carton combibloc and its performance in comparison to alternative systems for the packaging of ambient liquid food products with particulate contents (retortable pouch, glass jar, steel can and plastic pot).

The study was performed in accordance with the relevant ISO standards (ISO 14040 and ISO 14044) and accompanied by a critical review process.
