Development of a Raw Material System Analysis Study for Hafnium and Helium for the EU

Material System Analysis (MSA) investigates the flows of materials through an economy, in this project through the EU economy. The analysis includes stocks, trade flows as well as end-of-life treatment e.g., through disposal or recovery. The results are used for (1) development of the list of CRMs, (2) development of the raw materials scoreboard and (3) monitoring of the circular economy and thus provide a basis for developing sustainable resource management strategies.

The objective of the project was to provide review, technical assistance, analysis and data for the creation and analysis of new MSA studies for Hafnium and Helium in the EU.
