Environmental and Socio-Economic Assessment of Stationary Energetic Use of Imported Biofuels: The Case of Palm Oil
The study analyses the characteristics of palm oil, possibilities of using it for energy as well as the environmental, economic and social consequences thereof. It provides answers to questions regarding impacts on climate change as well as other environmental impacts and gives recommendations for environmental optimisations. Ultimately, the legal framework of the EU and WTO which apply to the regulation of the use of imported palm oil for energy are evaluated.
