Emission standards for mobile machinery and equipment

At the turn of the millennium, mobile machinery and equipment were considered ‘the forgotten sector’ in the context of air pollution control, as binding emission standards were introduced much later than in road transport. Since the introduction of Stage V in 2019, there have been machines that are hardly inferior to modern diesel lorries in terms of emissions. Nevertheless, there is still room for improvement.
