The report contains transport statistics, environmental impacts and greenhouse gas emissions from local, national and international freight transport. In addition to sea and air transport, relevant key figures for road, rail and inland waterway transport have also been compiled. The environmental impacts include - as far as possible - air pollutants, noise and land consumption. In more detailed sections, the separation effects of transport networks and selected segments of urban logistics were analysed. The report is intended to provide interested parties with a comprehensive overview of the significance of freight transport and its effects on the environment and climate.
