This study aims to link Baden-Württemberg's raw material requirements with the global impact of raw material extraction. It focuses on the question of how a more responsible raw materials policy can be designed, taking into account the perspectives of raw material-producing countries. To this end, interviews were conducted with experts and representatives of NGOs and civil society organizations from countries such as Zimbabwe, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Indonesia, Vietnam, Chile, Peru, and Mongolia. These voices not only provide insights into the social and environmental consequences of raw material extraction, but also offer concrete ideas for political, economic, and social actors in Baden-Württemberg.
