The "TREMOD" (Transport Emission Model) emission calculation model depicts motorised transport in Germany in terms of its traffic and driving performance, energy consumption and the associated air pollutant emissions for the period 1960 to 2050. It was developed by the ifeu Institute on behalf of the Federal Environment Agency and has been continuously updated for several years. The report describes the updating and supplementation of TREMOD. For all modes of transport, the inventory, driving and transport performance data were updated up to 2021. The latest scientific findings and measurement results were taken into account when modelling NOx and NO2 emissions. The trend scenario was then updated up to 2050. The current calculation results for energy consumption and pollutant emissions are presented as examples.
