The energy-efficient renovation of existing buildings is one of the central tasks of the energy transition – but the current federal subsidy system for efficient buildings (BEG) is complex and often socially unbalanced. ifeu and the Technical University of Munich are therefore calling for a reorientation: away from rigid efficiency house levels and towards simple and fair funding of individual sensible measures.
