Scientific support for the development of a concept for calculating environmental footprints of food products

Since 2021, ifeu has been supporting Greenado GmbH in the development and implementation of a calculation concept for the carbon, water and land footprint of food products and provides data specifically adapted to this concept. Greenado offers companies in the food sector individualised environmental footprints for food and beverages, which can be used for sustainability reporting, among other things. In addition, ifeu supports Greenado in the sustainability assessment of meals.

The service is aimed at manufacturers, producers, suppliers or traders in the catering industry and is therefore aimed at decision-makers and not just end customers. The calculation concept therefore has the potential to reach many people and have a major impact.
