ProSuffizienz - Reduction of energy consumption of prosumers

Data collection, analysis and visualisation to support sufficiency in prosumer households taking into account sector coupling

With a PV system on the roof, homeowners become prosumers and can generate their own final energy from renewable sources. At the same time, heating (electric heat pump) and mobility (e-car) become new, significant electricity applications in the household. To avoid rebound effects, prosumers must also minimize their absolute energy consumption (sufficiency).

In the project, electricity consumption analyses will be carried out in approx. 100 such prosumer households in a one-year field test. From this, strategies, information and a new narrative for an efficient and sufficient use of energy for prosumer households will be derived and prepared for energy consultants, system planners, companies and prosumers in a target group-specific manner. A "Prosumer Stromspiegel" will be developed to enable prosumers to use energy efficiently and sufficiently.

Join in!

Would you like to install a PV system in 2024 and get more than just electricity out of your system? Then take part in "ProSufficiency", the research project for smart homeowners funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. You get detailed insights into your electricity consumption behaviour and can win great prizes. All necessary equipment and services are provided free of charge. Sounds exciting? You can still express your interest in participating until the end of November.

You can find the form for this and all other information about the project on the project website www.stromspiegel.de/prosuffizienz (in German).
