The SuPraStadt toolbox offers do-it-yourself instructions for a collection of formats that have one thing in common: they address the question of how sufficiency can be promoted in urban neighbourhoods. According to the principle of ‘less is more’, sufficiency asks how we can live well and consume less. The aim of the toolbox is to bring sufficiency to life in urban neighbourhoods. The instructions for self-help are designed to show concrete possibilities for initiating processes towards sufficiency. The toolbox is aimed at people or organisations in politics, administration, civil society and business. In terms of content, the toolbox ties in with ecological topics such as sustainability, environmental protection in everyday life or education for sustainable development. On the other hand, more sufficiency in the neighbourhood can also create social added value. The instructions for DIY projects include many community activities in the neighbourhood that address topics such as neighbourliness, social interaction, democracy and participation. All instructions were developed, tested in practice and evaluated within the transdisciplinary research project SuPraStadt. The aim was to develop a scientifically sound yet practical product that makes the findings of the research project applicable to other places and people. Only available in German.
