This report presents the new edition of the ‘Evaluation of the environmental hazard potentials involved in the extraction of abiotic primary raw materials – A method for a site-related approach’ and is a report within the OekoRess III1 project prepared by the Oeko-Institut e.V. (Institute for Applied Ecology), ifeu-Institut für Energie-und Umweltforschung Heidelberg gGmbH (Institute for Energy and Environmental Research), and Projekt-Consult GmbH on behalf of the Federal Environment Agency. It updates the method for a site-related approach developed in the precursory project OekoRess I. The developed method can be used to evaluate and compare the environmental hazard potentials of mining sites.
