ed. ifeu-Institut für Energie- und Umweltforschung Heidelberg gGmbH, 2019

More than 40 years of environmental research and consulting: Introducing the Heidelberg Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (ifeu).

Since its foundation in 1978, ifeu has supervised several thousand studies and projects. At the same time, the number of employees has grown from seven to over 80. Pressing environmental issues have always driven ifeu's research. The controversy surrounding the Wyhl nuclear power plant, acid rain and the ozone hole, radiation protection and waste management, biodiversity and nuclear phase-out, speed limits and the coal compromise, the energy transition and the plastic crisis: we work purposefully with politicians, society and industry to find solutions for our environment and provide support in the form of research, consulting and well-founded concepts.

This brochure provides an insight into the content and impact of our work.
