How to: Practical guide to municipal climate protection

Climate protection in local communities is subject to constant change: in recent years alone, local authorities have been faced with far-reaching challenges as a result of changes in the EU, the federal climate protection law and also the laws of the federal states. This must also be reflected in the standard work on municipal climate protection: the practical guide to municipal climate protection.

That is why ifeu has once again contributed to the update and further development of the guidelines. A large team has integrated the latest findings from the Bisko, Wirkungspotenziale, IkKa and KlimaKomPakt projects into the revised guidelines. Experience from recent climate protection concepts, e.g. in Konstanz and Erlangen, has also been incorporated into the guidelines.

Together with Deutschen Institut für Urbanistik (Difu), dem Service- und Kompetenzzentrum: Kommunaler Klimaschutz (SK:KK) and Klima-Bündnis the guide was fundamentally revised, both in terms of content and application. The guide is now available in digital format, which can be continuously developed and updated with new content.
