The central objective of the research project ‘Criteria for the sustainable provision and climate-friendly integration of electricity-based renewable energy sources’ is to scientifically evaluate how electricity-based renewable energy sources (PtGLS: power-to-gas, -liquid, -solid) can play a sustainable and climate-friendly role in the transformation of the energy system. The focus is on: the upscaling of these technologies, the regulatory framework, the ecological and socio-economic impacts, and the development of sustainability criteria along the entire value chain. This final report contains summaries of the individually published sub-reports.
